Partners
A focused ownership team with shared standards and direct accountability.
Most consulting firms assemble teams from a bench of available contractors. Solidmatics works differently. Every partner holds Restricted Stock Units in the company. They have skin in the game, and that changes how they show up.
When you engage Solidmatics, you get operators who are invested in the outcome, literally. Partners earn from their engagements, and a portion of every engagement stays in the company to fund shared infrastructure, tooling, and quality standards. This is not a referral network. It is a lean, ownership-driven firm where each partner's reputation is bound to the work of every other.

Solidmatics partners are people who get shit done.
Vygandas Pliasas, Managing Partner
You tell them the problem. They tell you how they solved it. That's the baseline. No hand-holding, no waiting for instructions, no deer-in-headlights moments when priorities shift on a Tuesday afternoon.
Every partner at Solidmatics is a problem solver who has been tested on large-scale projects with real money on the line. They are grounded people. They know what they know, they know what they don't know, and they won't pretend otherwise. You will never get a confident answer to a question they can't actually answer.
They carry an owner's mentality because they are owners. When something breaks at 2 AM or a board meeting moves up by a week, they don't look for someone to blame. They look for the fix. They have thick skin and they are comfortable in rooms with executives, investors, and founders who ask hard questions and expect direct answers.
These are not people we found on a marketplace. Every partner has been personally vetted through real, joint delivery. Not interviews. Not portfolios. Actual projects with actual stakes. If we haven't shipped together and seen each other perform under pressure, the conversation doesn't start.
Beyond the philosophy, the selection criteria are specific:
No junior talent wearing a senior title. Every partner has over 15 years of hands-on experience building, shipping, and scaling software products.
This process is deliberately slow. Solidmatics will never scale by lowering the bar. Growth happens when we find the right person, and that takes time.

Managing Partner & CEO
Bio
Vygandas founded Solidmatics to solve a problem he saw repeatedly: startups and mid-stage companies making expensive technology decisions without experienced leadership at the table. His approach is hands-on. He doesn't advise from the sideline. He gets into the codebase, the budget spreadsheet, and the hiring pipeline. Before Solidmatics, he held engineering management and technical product roles at Huma (London), Toptal, Velocity Black, and served as Fractional CTO for Smart Annie Inc. He currently serves as CTPO at Saaga Solve and Head of Engineering at AesthetiDocs. He has direct experience navigating regulated industries, EU grants, and cross-border team operations spanning the US, UK, and EU.

Key Outcomes
Industries
Every engagement starts with Vygandas as your primary point of contact. He scopes the work, maps your technology and product challenges, and determines which combination of partner expertise your situation requires.
Active Step
We map your technology and product challenges, then define the right partner combination for your situation.
The result: faster onboarding, fewer communication gaps, and decisions that account for strategy, infrastructure, and architecture simultaneously, not in silos.
Full-Time CTO
$200K-$350K/yr + equity + benefits. Major commitment before you know if the fit is right.
Freelancer
Lower hourly rate, but hidden costs: you manage, you coordinate, you carry the risk.
Solidmatics
Fractional pricing. No long-term lock-in. You scale up or down based on what you actually need.
A note on honesty
A note on honesty. If your challenge falls outside our expertise, we will tell you. We'd rather turn down an engagement than deliver mediocre work. If it's within our scope, you're in safe hands. That's not a tagline. It's how co-owners protect their own name.

A great technical partner as I built out the MVP for my SaaS. Patient and offered tons of value architecting the initial tech stack.
Excels at capacity planning and estimates. Removes blockers, researches unknowns, gets the right people in the room.
If you're evaluating fractional technology leadership, talk to us before you commit to a generalist. Book a 30-minute call with Vygandas to discuss your situation. No pitch deck. Just a direct conversation about what you need and whether we're the right fit.
